Meet Ms. Schubauer

Taylor C. Schubauer, a proud Western New York native, has always had a strong interest in helping working families and individuals, prompting her decision to pursue a career in law. She graduated magna cum laude from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences Interdisciplinary, with a concentration in Legal Studies and a minor in French and Sociology. Obtaining a law degree was her next aspiration.


Ms. Schubauer attended law school at the University at Buffalo, graduating in 2017 with a concentration in Family Law. While in law school, she interned with the NYS Attorney General, aiding state counsel in defending inmate grievances. During her second year of law school, she proudly participated in the Domestic Violence & Women’s Rights Clinic. While there, she utilized a student practice order and represented domestic violence victims in Erie County Family Court. She was also able to work with human trafficking victims in vacating their criminal convictions obtained while being trafficked.

More About Ms. Schubauer

During her third year of law school, she completed an externship at the Erie County District Attorney’s Office in the Domestic Violence Bureau, where she researched and furthered her expertise in New York State Penal Law while observing court proceedings at all stages of litigation.


Ms. Schubauer began her time with Bernhardi Law as a clerk in December of 2015 during her studies and transitioned to an associate attorney position after her graduation. As of January 2018, she is admitted to practice in the courts of New York State.


Additionally, Ms. Schubauer is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of WNY.
